- Youth increase self-esteem.
- Youth establish trust and a positive relationship with an adult mentor.
- Through reflection on the art developed, emotional healing and transformation occur, and gradually, new images and self-image are developed by the child or adolescent.
- Through learning yoga and deep breathing, and hiking in the Texas Hill Country, youth will learn about the mind-body connection, anger management and relaxation.
- Youth experience a supportive community of others with similar experiences. Groups will be male or female, and span three years of age, alternating based on need.
- Programs are positive, fun and promote self-efficacy.
- Youth will write and self-publish a book of their art and writing, yearly.
