PROGRAM EXPANSION & NEW HEADQUARTERS

In September 2008, Camp Phoenix will significantly expand all weekday outreach programs through the use of our new facility, The Phoenix Center, located at 1007 Avenue F in Marble Falls, Texas. The building will provide a beautiful and tranquil space for seven programs, in addition to serving as the site of our administrative office. The use of the building and studio would not have been possible without the remarkable generosity of an anonymous donor with a great love for children.
This facility was the original location of Sana Vida Clinic and Studio. The Phoenix Center will provide Camp Phoenix with an ideal space to achieve its mission. All of our outreach programs are designed to provide an enriching and health-promoting outlet for local children and families in need.
Our initial 2008-2009 weekday schedule will include the following year-round, free of cost programs:
-
2 weekly Yoga classes - to promote stress & anger management and relaxation.
-
1 weekly Nia Dance class - a movement & dance class open to area children in need and their parents/guardians/mentors.
-
2 weekly Therapeutic Arts Groups - serving youth with identified mental health needs using the expressive arts.
-
2 weekly Suzuki Violin classes - serving over 20 youth from The Boys and Girls Club of the Highland Lakes
The Phoenix Center's programs are available free of cost to area families and non-profit organizations that serve children in need (such as The Boys and Girls Club of the Highland Lakes, The Highland Lakes Family Crisis Center, CASA, and The Hill Country Child Advocacy Center).
